A little bit about us
Welcome to our world of environmental conservation, innovation, and sustainability. Began as a community-based grassroots initiative in Eastern Uganda, we are driven by a strong passion for making a positive impact on communities and the environment. Inspired by the urgent need to address plastic waste and improve access to essential resources, we have embarked on a remarkable journey of upcycling and construction. Through our adaptable use of plastic bottle bricks, we transform discarded plastic into valuable building materials for rainwater harvesting tanks, pit latrines, scholastic libraries, and other upcoming exciting works.
Our dedicated team of field technicians, engineers, and skilled craftsmen work tirelessly to create sustainable solutions that benefit both the environment and countless lives. Join us on this extraordinary journey as we reshape the future, one upcycled brick at a time. Explore our website, learn about our initiatives, and discover how you can be a part of our mission. Together, we can create a greener and more sustainable world for generations to come.

Ichupa's Philosophy
To transform the impact of plastic waste by harnessing its potential for positive change. Through innovative upcycling techniques, we aim to empower communities in Uganda and beyond, providing sustainable solutions for access to captured water while fostering environmental conservation. We are dedicated to reshaping the way we view and utilize plastic waste, forging a path towards a greener and more equitable future. Together, we reimagine possibilities and build a world where discarded plastic becomes a valuable resource, creating lasting social and environmental impact—one upcycled plastic brick at a time.
