Collaboration
& Credit

The entire team at The Ichupa Upcycle Project would like to acknowledge and express our sincere gratitude to our esteemed partners, dedicated environmental conservationists, supportive friends, staff, and enthusiastic passersby who have contributed to capturing the exciting moments of our construction and finished products. Some of the photos, videos, and digital media featured on our website are the property of these individuals and organizations, who have graciously shared their talents and passion for our work for our greater cause.

We strongly believe in the principle of "giving credit where credit is due," as it is crucial to protect the integrity of all authors and creators—both in Uganda and abroad. Properly crediting others' creative work not only respects their intellectual property rights but also fosters a culture of appreciation, respect, and collaboration.

By providing accurate attributions, we uphold ethical standards, ensure transparency, and promote fairness in the creative community. We extend our heartfelt thanks to each spotlighted contributor for helping us showcase the beauty and impact of our creative work, all while honoring the importance of crediting to all of the original creators.

Notable mentions

One of the most awesome additions to our website is the video on our main page, and a few images throughout our site. Credits: Dan Dambirenza of Home of Good Hope Orphanage School (in Uganda, Eastern Region, Budaka District, Mugiti Communities) and Samuel Sendagire of Beyond Culture, Ltd.

While constructing the "Original Nine," EU AID Volunteer Sophie Schillings expressed an interest in becoming our very next partnerships to explore rainwater harvesting while using our characteristic Ichupa design.

During one of our early rainwater harvesting tank installations for EU AID Sophie Schillings, Mr. Gregorio Cunha captured some incredible shots of The Ichupa Upcycle Project construction team and our building process.

After completing several rainwater harvesting tanks for EADEN's climate-smart initiatives, funded by Caritas Denmark, we are fortunate to continue in our partnership and highlight a longstanding relationship beginning in 2018.

Our very own Chief Engineer, Mr. Masete Nicholas, provides us not only with the photos for documenting the process for each of our grantors but also ensure our construction team is in FULL protective gear throughout.

A majority of the general media visible across our website is owned by our very own ED/Founder, Michał Matejczuk. A picture may be worth a thousand words, but now it can contain thousands upon thousands of bottles!
